Specification Concrete:
Mobile Concrete produces concrete which meets the standards established
by ASTM (C-685)
Delivery:
A counter Keeps an accurate record of concrete quantities delivered. The
mixer can be hydraulically raised, lowered and swiveled. The Extension
chutes can also be raised and lowered.
Mixing:
All materials are thoroughly mixed in the mixer to produce quality
concrete. When the machine is producing concrete, the mixer is set at an
angle of 15 to 25 degrees with the high end away from the unit.
Materials drop into the low end of the rubber-bottomed mixer, which has
a mixer element with auger flighting and angled paddle blades running
lengthwise through it. As the mix auger rotates and mixes the concrete
materials, it moves the materials up to the discharge end.
How it works: (separate material compartments)
Sand and stone are carried side by side in a divided, open-topped bin.
The sand compartment holds 55% of the bin's volume and the stone
compartment holds 45%. For certain applications the reverse volumes may
be used. Any two aggregates can be carried separately and proportioned
exactly as required, or for mixes requiring less aggregate/ sand
gradation control, both compartments can be loaded with the same
material.. sand, for grout mixes; bank run or pre-blended aggregates for
concrete.
Cement is carried in a special, closed watertight bin behind the
aggregate bin. It is equipped with automatic vibrators and simple
mechanical devices to assure accurate cement proportioning by providing
a constant cement flow to the concrete mixing auger.
Water is carried in tanks mounted on Mobile Concrete Units. it is
pumped or pushed by air pressure into the mixer. Flow is controlled by
an operator actuated regulating valve. Water flow meters provide a means
of accurately setting and monitoring flows. Water flows stops and starts
automatically or manually whenever the conveyor belt is stopped or
started.
All Mobile Concrete models are equipped with two complete,
independent systems for carrying liquid admixtures (accelerators,
retarders, air entraining agents, super plasticizers, etc.). These are
accurately introduced automatically into the concrete mix via admix
pumps.
